Pupil Premium

About Pupil Premium Funding:

The Government supports schools to help certain groups of children do their very best through the pupils’ premium (PPM) funding.

Pupils qualify for this additional funding is:

1)      Any pupil registered for free school meals (FSM) in the past 6 years.

2)      Any pupil aged 4 to 15 who has been in care or looked after for more than 6 months.

3)      Any pupil whose parents are serving in the armed forces.

4)      Some pupils who are adopted or have special guardianship orders or residence orders.

No one will know that you have registered and it will not affect any other benefits. Please come in and talk to us if you’re unsure and we will try to help.

However, schools only get this funding if parents registers their child as qualifying.

Each of the four categories above has a different monetary allocation attached.

We use this money to provide additional classroom support to pupils and a range of enhancement activities.

The Pupil Premium review date is 13th March 2018.

The school reviews and records the impact of our Pupil Premium policy every term. However, due to our small cohorts, this information is stored within school rather than on the website to maintain confidentiality.

Effective Feedback

Parents are invited to attend parent meetings with the teachers to discuss their child and their next steps. Individual targets are shared with the pupils and parents. Clear marking policy allows effective feedback.
